Q: How can we, as parents help?
A: Support your child by reading to them nightly and review the work they bring home and support those concepts. Be sure to do all take home activities and monthly projects with your child. You may also volunteer to work in the classroom (after training and clearance) or help at home. Let your child know that their education is very important to you!

Q: What is the best way to communicate with my child's teacher?
A: Each teacher is different and the method you choose will depend on the nature of your message. Kindergarten teachers check their e-mail before and after school (we are too busy working with your children during the day to check in) so if the nature of the communication can wait until after school e-mail is the best way to check in. If you would like to have a phone conversation, you may wish to e-mail the teacher with your phone number and the best time to call you. This way the teacher can speak with you giving you their full attention. If you forgot to email before school and there's something you need the teacher to know immediately, we suggest pinning a note on your child.
